Falling Upward Lenten Study
Join us on Tuesday evenings (February 20 – March 19) beginning at 6:00 P.M. at St. Mark’s for a conversation guided by Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life by Richard Rohr. Rohr, a Franciscan friar and ecumenical teacher, bears witness to the deep wisdom of Christian mysticism. In Falling Upward, he seeks to help readers come to terms with the two halves of life. In this book, Rohr teaches us that we can’t understand the meaning of “up” until we have fallen “down.” More importantly, Rohr describes what “up” can look like in the second half of life. This group will be led and facilitated by Gary Loncki. Contact Carly to register or for more information.
Lenten Anglican Prayer Bead Experience
The Anglican Prayer bead discipline grew out of a contemplative prayer experience, a perfect companion to Celtic Spirituality. The Prayer Bead experience is led each week with a meditation written and then prayed by a leader. Each experience lasts roughly 30 minutes and is a wonderful way to enter the hours before sleep.
You are invited to join in this experience in the Season of Lent. The Very Rev. Tony Pompa will lead us via zoom on Wednesday Evenings (February 21 – March 20) at 7:00 P.M. Contact Carly Rowe to register or for more information.
