At the Cathedral of St. Paul we offer Christian Education and Formation events and seasonal programs for all ages throughout the year.
Children preschool – 5th grade are introduced to the Bible and the Episcopal heritage through story, craft and play during our Sunday morning program. Many other programs such as the Christmas pageant, Lenten programs and Easter Saturday activities provide a well-rounded approach to faith formation for children of all ages.
Confirmation provides a place for teens to explore their faith in a safe, supportive atmosphere.
Adult programs are offered at various times throughout the year in book studies, scripture studies and discussion forums.

Children's Programs

All children from preschool through grade 5 are welcome to join us each Sunday morning for a time of Christian education. Children begin the Holy Eucharist in the Cathedral at 10 am with their family, then gather near the pulpit at the “Alleluia” (the reading of the Gospel) and leave for class. Children will return to the Cathedral just before Holy Communion begins. Students hear Bible stories (based on the lectionary), work on memorizing the Lord’s prayer and some other verses, learn about the seasons and traditions of the Episcopal faith, do some crafts and have fun.Other programs are offered during the church year such as: Advent and Lenten days for the whole family, a Christmas pageant, Easter weekend activities and much more.

Youth - Confirmation

Are you interested in learning more about the Christian faith and life as understood and practiced in the Episcopal Church? Are you considering Baptism, Confirmation, Reception into the Church or Reaffirmation? Many different people with many different stories can be found at or around the Cathedral these days with these questions on their hearts and minds. If you are one of them, or might be, or know someone who might be, please be in touch with Dean Melinda.

Adult Education

Christian education isn’t just for children. Join us for conversations about the Bible and presentations on contemporary issues. All are welcome to join us for Lectio on Sundays at 9 am in the League Room. Grab a cup of coffee and join in a discussion about the Sunday Scripture Readings.
