Engage

As Episcopalians, we believe that the mission of the church is to restore all people to unity with God and to each other in Jesus Christ. People work at this mission in their homes, neighborhoods, schools, workplaces and communities. Some aspects of mission we undertake together as a congregation.

The Cathedral’s weekly Food Pantry, the partnership with our local schools, our engagement in assisting Erie’s homeless population, and hosting outreach dinners are just a few of the ways we are reaching out to our neighbors in need.  In covid we have done numerous collections for area agencies, been involved in BLM marches, and delivered meals to hospital workers.

Most of our engagement with the city is done with St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.  Together we engage with our community partners to make a difference in Erie.

Erie Episcopal Offers Food to the Homeless

Erie Episcopal will be providing meals to 150 people on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. Please join us at the Cathedral starting at 10:00 A.M. We will prepare sandwiches and pack bags that will be distributed to various agencies, local parks, and homeless camps throughout the city. If you are interested in helping or would like to know more, please contact Carly Rowe.
